Hailey Bieber chose a Princess Diana cathedral length veil for a dramatic take on the classic wedding accessory. If your dress has a long train, the extra-long veil is the perfect complement. On the other hand; a long, voluminous veil also looks great with elegantly simple silk wedding dresses currently trending. This contrast of volume between dress and veil can create a unique silhouette while you’re saying your vows.

Short, slim veils, like Lily Allen’s contemporary wedding veil, are a modern take on veils. They work perfectly for brides looking for a simple veil that doesn’t change the line of their dress.
Short veils can be as short as shoulder-length, or as long as hip or fingertip length depending on your dress and preference. Extra-short veils at shoulder length are best worn with dresses that balance out the extra volume, such as mermaid-skirted dresses, short dresses or wedding suits.

Embroidered veils have been beloved for decades, from Brigitte Bardot to more recently, The Duchess of Sussex. Ornate detailing on your veil adds an extra touch of styling to your wedding look, and can include everything from beading to bespoke embroidered words or phrases, like our L’eto Bridal Poem Veil.
Veils for those brides who don’t want a veil to cover their dress are known as blusher veils or nets. These veils are perfectly suited to most dresses as well as the popular wedding suits for women available at all modern wedding ateliers. Not all veils need to be clipped at the top and left to fall over your dress. Take a tip from Kate Moss and fasten your veil at the sides of your hair to become part of your hairstyle. Bridal shapewear can be comfortable.
Luckily, thanks to garment technology, undergarments don’t have to be thick and uncomfortable. They can be thin and breezy so you can barely even tell you’re wearing them!
Shorts as undergarments may not sound very glamorous, but they’re the best way to avoid any underwear lines through your dress. With bright lights, camera flashes and spotlights for that special dance, even ‘seam free’ underwear lines can be seen through the luxury fabrics of designer wedding dresses, particularly silk satin.
All seamfree wedding dresses are crafted to create an elongated silhouette, so don’t let your undergarments distract from these elegant lines. High-waisted shorts help maintain the sleek, continuous line from torso to skirt.

Thick undergarments don’t work in the hot sun, so if you’re getting married on a hot summer’s day, try these super-thin options:

Finding seamless shorts created for dresses with a low back is near impossible, so we recommend brides make their own. Find good quality, high-waisted shorts like the options above and cut a gentle oval shape from side seam to side seam. We find this helps maintain the line of your dress without compromising the stunning low back look.

Mini shorts may look cute, but the seam at the thigh can often create a slight bulging shape that changes the line of the skirt. Instead, opt for the longer bike-short style.
Any edging and heavy seams at the bottom of the shorts will show through your dress, especially under harsh lighting. Look for undergarments, like the options above, that have a seam-free edge as they won’t show through.
Every bride needs a different level of bust support, and the design of each dress will determine which bra works for your special day.
Silicon stick-on bras are a favourite of most of our brides as they offer a small amount of support, shape and don’t show any straps or seams.
We don’t recommend nipple covers or pasties as these will often show through the fabric and change the look of your dress.

We've been a little busy - traveling, creating new collections and MAKING CHANGES in bridal industry and within the company itself as well. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and unprecedented lockdowns, but we wanted to share our latest adventures with you! Because while everything has slowed down we have sped up in order to bring you L'eto Bride, like you've never seen her before.
SO WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO ?
We can't stop reliving our earlier traveling days - roaming through the streets of Paris to shoot the latest collection LA EUROPA, feels like a distant dream… If it weren't for the photo evidence, we may not have believed it was only a year ago. The world and life itself seems so different now, lockdowns, silence and a slower more considered pace has replaced a life of to-do-lists and adventures. We were busy doing so much, yet taking in so little. It has been nice to reflect on this time in one of our favourite cities to learn just how important travel is for us here at L'eto- to immerse ourselves in foreign lands and cultures. The adventure that comes with being plunged into the unknown, this is what has always fueled L'eto; her brave spirit and unique voice, this is what makes us excited about the future... where to go next (when they let us!)
THE REVOLUTION
In case you haven't yet heard, we've started a bridal revolution and it couldn't have come any sooner. We are so proud to be one of the founders of the new wave of bridal, The Post Modernists - the new form of bridal market. If you haven't yet heard the news, we teamed up with the competition where five women in bridal created a Bridal Revolution. A new space in bridal where we will showcase our collections side by side and stand united in order to reshape and redefine the world of bridal, bringing fashion, art and respect back to the process and story of good design.
It was this movement that helped L'eto make the most important decision yet, moving all of our production back into Australia, making more conscious and considered decisions about our brand, the designs and our collections. We are so thrilled to have brought everything back home, as difficult as it is we believe more than ever in resurrecting the dying art trade of fashion onto Australian shores. The more of us who bring things back home, the greater the demand and hopefully we can collectively begin to rebuild the fashion industry back to Australia.

It is an honour to now say that L'eto Bridal is an all Australian bridal label that is determined to make love cool again - from the very beginning right through to the end of Production. We won't lie, this was a huge challenge, but our time in isolation was not wasted. We went back to the drawing board and carefully reconsidered our brand - who we wanted to be. We hope to be one of the Australian fashion labels that helps to rebuild the fashion trade on shore and create more opportunities for growth in the future. We are currently working on our new collection in our very own atelier at Sydney’s Northern Beaches and cannot wait to unveil the new and very reconsidered look of L’eto.

We've had to cancel London, we've had to cancel appointments, we've had to cancel overseas production. It sounds like a lot of bad news at once, but we've gone glass half full on this one! Instead of waiting for the world to get back to business, we've been peeling back the layers of our business and the bridal business all at once. What did we find? We could do better and so we have. Our Post Modernist London show is only the beginning of a very important message we were trying to send, that bridal is for everyone and yet not everyone was represented. That bridal should be an extension of fashion and yet it seems to lack the variety and story telling of the high-end fashion world. That important conversations with other designers, artists and creatives is the key to growing the world of bridal and L'eto is very honoured to be part of this history - to create a post-modern form of bridal, a form that is distinctive to high-end, fashion inspired, conscious art-making processes. Apart from starting new revolutions, new on-shore production teams and new ways of doing bridal, we have been busy at work creating new vibes. So you’ve made your plans, and it’s the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. Your bride tribe has done all they can for you, and these loyal sisters need a break before the big day just as much as you do, because months of serious wedding prep has taken its toll and you and your girlfriends deserve a mini vacation!
Of course, one might prefer a private escape with your partner-to-be; just the two of you in a scenic cottage surrounded by lush nature sounds tempting when caught up in the hullabaloo of event planning.
Well, it’s time to kick back, because we’ve done the work for you and discovered these beautiful getaways for your last hurrah. Leave the idea of bar-hopping and bawdy bachelorette affairs behind; from a surf mansion to a beautifully mellow cabin for two in the woods, these retreats are sure to inspire a different sort of hen night.
Paddock Hall is a lovely getaway cabin built by hand on Yalburabah, a ‘place of healing’ as denoted by the indigenous Bundjalung people. It’s perfect for a couple’s retreat, and if you want to see the sights and touch base with nature, it’s only a 15 minute drive to Lennox and Lake Ainsworth, 10 minutes to Killen Falls, and 20 minutes to Byron.
With five bedrooms and enough space for at least eight of your besties, Casa Mio Surf Hacienda on Crescent Head is a dream come true. The beach is right outside your doorstep, barely five minutes away by foot, and the house is handsomely furnished with modern, yet organic interior features.
An original timber and sandstone fisherman’s cottage on the edge of the waters of Mackerel Beach sounds like a great idea for an escape to a simpler time. Fitting up to four people in this lovingly restored Little Black Shack, the seclusion is a luxury in these hectic times, and we adore the raw natural beauty that surrounds it.
Luxury is never overrated, right? Pretty Beach House is such an understated name for this gorgeous award-winning getaway. With incredible private pavilions and premium Italian cuisine sourced from garden to plate, this experience will surely be something unforgettable.
As the prosecco flowed and the teas steeped in the glow of the Mosaic Room of Ovolo Nishi Hotel, we were so pleased to meet with all that came down for Mrs Fray’s pop-up. We must mention of course, how all of this started.
Mrs. Fray started in a bid to bring the best of the wedding market to Canberra in an experience that would outshine every other. They’re making a dream of fun and stylish gown hunting into a reality, with the focus on creating a warm and inviting shop space that would never exclude anyone. No bride should go unsatisfied or settle for less with them in town.
Right now, tri-annual pop ups are happening with them, revolutionising the way brides can scour the city for the perfect pieces. Their offerings are from curated brands with impeccable taste and style, and not only gowns are available.
This March, they featured lingerie, sleepwear and the most divine fragrances. Ready-to-wear and jewellery brands also shared the space with us, Karen Willis Holmes, Lola Varma, and Prea James Bridal.
It’s a full retail experience of anything you ever wanted all boiled down into one gorgeous space. With personal appointments and free browsing, one could feel at ease deciding just exactly what you want without the distractions of anything else.
Forget suspicious carpets in off-season jewel tones and harsh, artificial LEDs in the space where you start your dream- Mrs. Frays choice of the Mosaic Room flooded the room with natural light and its natural textures only elevated each outfit being tried on.
What’s more, Amy and Andi, founders of Mrs. Fray, have just confirmed their permanent status here in Canberra. Watch out for what unfolds as they prepare to welcome you once again to their new space in Campbell.
All in all, it was a beautiful collection of makers and movers all gathered last month. We’re looking forward to meeting more of you in the upcoming events that we have here and there; and thank you for the lovely experience.
